Materials We Can Assist With

We can support clients with the removal of non-licensed asbestos-containing materials, including:

  • Asbestos cement roof sheets
  • Asbestos cement wall cladding
  • Asbestos gutters and downpipes
  • Asbestos flue pipes
  • Asbestos cement water tanks
  • Asbestos cement panels
  • Floor tiles and bitumen adhesive, where appropriate
  • Small quantities of lower-risk asbestos-containing materials
  • Asbestos waste generated from non-licensed works

All works are assessed before removal to confirm whether the material and scope of work are suitable for non-licensed asbestos removal.

Safe and Controlled Removal

Before any removal work is undertaken, we assess the material type, condition, location, access requirements and potential risk of disturbance.

Where works are suitable, removal is completed using appropriate control measures, including:

  • Suitable PPE and RPE
  • Controlled working methods
  • Dust suppression where required
  • Careful removal to minimise breakage
  • Asbestos waste packaging and labelling
  • Cleaning of the immediate work area
  • Compliant waste transfer and disposal

Our aim is to complete asbestos removal safely, practically and with minimal disruption to the client.

Domestic Asbestos Removal

We regularly assist homeowners, landlords and property managers with small-scale asbestos removal works, including garage roofs, shed roofs, outbuilding roofs, flue pipes, gutters and cement-based asbestos products.

If you are unsure whether a material contains asbestos, we can also arrange asbestos sampling and testing before removal is considered.

Commercial and Educational Premises

We also support commercial clients, schools, contractors, managing agents and dutyholders with non-licensed asbestos removal where materials are suitable and the works can be completed safely.

This may include planned maintenance, refurbishment preparation, damaged asbestos cement materials or removal of redundant asbestos-containing products.

Waste Disposal and Documentation

Asbestos waste must be handled and disposed of correctly.

Following removal, waste is securely packaged, transported and disposed of at an authorised waste facility. Waste transfer documentation can be provided to demonstrate that asbestos waste has been managed appropriately.

When Licensed Removal May Be Required

Not all asbestos materials are suitable for non-licensed removal.

Higher-risk materials, such as asbestos insulating board, pipe insulation, sprayed coatings or other friable asbestos materials, may require a licensed asbestos removal contractor.

If licensed removal is required, we can advise accordingly and help clients understand the next steps.

Related Asbestos Services

Asbestos Management Surveys:

An asbestos management survey is designed to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of asbestos-containing materials within occupied buildings. The survey helps dutyholders comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 by providing an asbestos register and information required to safely manage asbestos during normal occupation and routine maintenance.

Refurbishment Asbestos Surveys:

If refurbishment or alteration works are planned, a refurbishment asbestos survey should be completed before work begins. These intrusive surveys identify asbestos-containing materials likely to be disturbed during the proposed works, helping protect contractors and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Demolition Asbestos Surveys:

A demolition asbestos survey is required before a building, or part of a building, is demolished. These fully intrusive surveys are designed to identify all asbestos-containing materials, as far as reasonably practicable, enabling their safe removal before demolition commences.

Asbestos Re-Inspection Surveys:

Known or presumed asbestos-containing materials should be periodically inspected to confirm they remain in a satisfactory condition. Our asbestos re-inspection surveys update your asbestos register and help ensure asbestos continues to be managed safely.

Asbestos Sampling & Testing:

If you're unsure whether a material contains asbestos, representative samples can be safely taken and submitted to a UKAS-accredited laboratory for analysis. Sampling provides certainty before refurbishment, demolition or maintenance works commence.

Asbestos Management Plans:

An asbestos management plan provides the practical arrangements required to manage asbestos safely within non-domestic premises. It supports dutyholders in meeting their legal responsibilities by detailing inspection frequencies, communication procedures and emergency arrangements.
